Initiators and Detonators are
available in wide variety of configurations at PSEMC.
Our designs includes 1-amp/1-watt no-fire electro-explosive devices
qualified to Mil-I-23659, Mil-Std-1512, and/or Mil-Std-1901A.
These units incorporate welded bridgewires
covered by pressed non- conductive ignition charge and main
output charge, all hermetically sealed in a stainless
steel body. The units are glass-to-metal sealed, and
incorporate a welded output closure resulting in a "state-of-the-art",
high quality electro-explosive device. These units, such
as Dual Hot Gas Initiators, Elector-Explosive Detonators (EED)/Devices,
Hot Gas-to-SMDC Actuated Initiators, Lanyard Pull Initiators,
Mode Selectors, One-Way Initiators, Receptor- Detonator Assemblies,
Separation Plane Initiators, Through-Bulkhead Initiators (TBI)
and Thin Film Bridge Initiators (TFB), can be provided with detonation
or pressure outputs and configured to meet specific customer
requirements. These devices can be provided in a wide
range of configurations such as two or four pin, bayonet or threaded
connectors, or with electrical leads.
MIL-DTL-23659D Family
PSEMC has over 500 different MIL-DTL-23659D qualified initiators
for your unique requirements. This heritage provides the baseline
for any new initiators we develop for customers.
PRESSURE CARTRIDGES
We have pressure cartridges to satisfy time vs. pressure requirements
across the spectrum.
IMPULSE CARTRIDGES
Impulse cartridges are used to eject Offboard Countermeasures such
as chaff or flare and for stores release. PSEMC manufactures the
BBU and CCU series of impulse cartridges for a wide variety of military
aircraft.
DETONATORS
High-energy output detonators have been designed as stand-alone
devices or as part of an ordnance system. Configurations include
lanyard and electrically actuated, as well as a fully qualified
MIL-DTL-23659D miniature detonator.
